"I was searching for a dance studio for my toddler and stumbled upon Soul Purpose Studio and am so glad I did.  This is a small, intimate studio full of wonderful teachers and friendly families.  My daughter is thriving in the creative movement classes designed for 2-4 year olds, and my hope is that she will continue on with her ballet training so she can experience the other classes offered.  An added bonus to Soul Purpose Studio is that there are adult offerings for pilates and dance, with a pilates class offered conveniently during my daughter's ballet class.  So now both she and I get to take a class at the same time!  And as proof of how wonderful the studio is, my daughter's class is 15 minutes shorter than the pilates class, so the owner of the studio arranged to have a teenage dancer babysit for the 15 minutes so I could stay in the class. Can't say enough about this place."

"What a great ballet studio for my girls! They have been taking ballet classes with Alison since they were 3 years old in 1997 & 2002 and are still there in 2013!  Soul Purpose Studio is a place to feel comfortable & stress free, yet take ballet on a serious level.  Some of their best friends began during their ballet classes with Alison. Highly recommend!"

"My daughter has been dancing at Soul Purpose Studio since it opened it 6 years ago, and danced with Alison for 3 years prior to that. Alison manages to create a wonderful balance of technique-focused instruction and discipline with a fun and warm atmosphere. Her commitment in her students' growth and her compassion for their well being creates a wonderful environment in which to nurture budding and established dancers! We look forward to many more wonderful years with Alison and the Soul Purpose Studio team."

"I highly recommend this studio to ANYONE who wants to become a better ballet dancer. I have friends who have danced with Alison their whole lives and have gone on to do amazing things in the dance world. I began taking lessons with Alison only 2 years ago, and I couldn't have asked for a better teacher. She is patient, supportive, knowledgeable, trustworthy, and knows how to kick your butt. She helped me improve SO MUCH in such a short amount of time."

"I've been taking owner Alison Hesh's Pilates classes for more than ten years - a very long time to follow any fitness regime.  When I first started her floor Pilates classes, I was impressed by how she managed to personalize the experience, even in a large class.  Unlike some instructors, Alison always walks around the room, correcting your form, motivating you to stretch just a little further, but always in a positive way.   Whether I'm taking a class next to a 15-year old ballet student whose toes are effortlessly next to her ear, or a not-so-in-shape middle-aged beginner, I still feel like the class is all about my experience.  Alison makes you feel that you're doing your personal best.  I've become more flexible than I ever could imagine for someone my age (over 50), and - if I cut out the ice cream - I'd even see a six-pack in my abs.  Her classes continue to challenge me, even after all these years."

"When I opened my doors 10 years ago, I really wanted a studio atmosphere that was like a family! Eight years later I still sit down in my waiting room and chat with my parents over a cup of coffee. I have seen my kids grow into beautiful young dancers and strong women. I have dancers scattered all over the country in dance companies as well as ivy league colleges. I like to think that our teaching and nurturing atmosphere here at Soul Purpose Studio is a part of their success. When you bring your child to ballet classes at Soul Purpose Studio you are entrusting us with a lot more than just teaching ballet technique to your child. We care about their psychological well-being, their physical well-being, as well as their ballet technique. While in ballet classes not only does each student learn about patience, focus, strength, and stamina, but we also learn about muscle groups, music, geometry, and even physics! Whether a child is 3 and in our Young Dancer Program or 16 and in our Pre-Professional Program, they will always feel welcome, special, and loved as if they were a part of my own family!"
